Parkland Community Library will be hosting psychic medium Lauri Moore 7-8:30 p.m. May 22 at Lone Lane Pavilion, 30 Lone Lane, Upper Macungie Township.

Tickets are available at the library for a per person donation.

This event is for adults only. Readings are for entertainment purposes only. Those to be read will be chosen by random.

Friends of the Parkland Community Library, Walbert Ave., South Whitehall, is having a used book sale on the porch 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on May 22.

Pack a lunch and join the staff at the library for an outdoor (weather permitting) storytime for families with children of all ages at the Picnic at Parkland 11:30 a.m.-noon on May 22.

Join the library's new discussion group for adults, Books into Movies, to discuss "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" by Deborah Moggach 7-8 p.m. May 22.

Spend a fun afternoon swapping knitting tips and tricks with the Knitting Circle 1:30- 4 p.m. May 23.

Bring knitting materials and enthusiasm.

The Knitting Circle is for knitters of all ages and skill levels.

Jack Rosa-Martir of Pet Tech has partnered with Upper Macungie Township to provide a pet CPR and first aid class for dogs and cats 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. May 25 at Independent Park Community Center, 150 Independent Road, Breinigsville.

Learn how to restrain apet, rescue breathing, pet CPR (three techniques), choking management, heat and cold injuries, poisoning emergencies, bleeding protocols, bites and stings, injury assessment and checking vital signs.

Class size is limited to six to 12 people.

Registration with payment must be made by May 17.
