A team of eight students from St. Thomas More, 1040 Flexer Ave., Salisbury Township, beat out 10 other teams to win the Lehigh District Academic Bowl, April 21, at Allentown Central Catholic High School. The team went on to win the Diocesan CYO competition against four teams at Bethlehem Holy Name School May 5. The students are, from left: Andrew Buck, Matt Sagl, Serena Johnson, Andrew Waldron, Erin Skibbens, Michael Gallagher, Julia Bebout and Kevin DePietro. All the students are eighth graders, except Buck and DiPetro, who are in the seventh grade. Librarian Maureen Fernbacher was coach for the team.
