The Whitehall Township Municipal campus on Saturday will be busy with three events: the annual recycling drive, VIN etching for vehicles and the opening of Camp Whitehall registration.

The 21st annual recycling drive, sponsored by the township and its Environmental Advisory Council, is open to Whitehall residents and will take place 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the township Public Works Complex.

Electronic items accepted without a fee include TVs, computers, printers, keyboards and mice, cables and cords, scanners, fax machines, stereos and speakers, telephones, cell phones, laptops, computer parts, copier machines, UPS (battery backups), VCRs, DVD and CD players, gaming systems, electronic toys, blenders, vacuum cleaners, audio visual equipment, projectors, microwaves, cameras, remote controls and laptop batteries.

Used bicycles will be accepted and donated by the township to children in need in partnership with www.communitybikeworks.org.

Document shredding is only for township residents and proof of residency is required. Residents can bring a maximum of 10 banker size boxes of material and witness the shredding on site. Document shredding is not available to commercial enterprises.

The Lehigh County District Attorney's Auto Theft & Insurance Fraud Task Force and Whitehall police will engrave a vehicle's VIN (vehicle identification number) on all windows of vehicles brought to the campus. The free etching, which takes only five minutes, deters criminals from stealing the vehicle.

Camp Whitehall registrations will also be held in the public meeting room at the township building from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
