Victor R. Geiger, 75, of Lehighton, died April 24, 2013, in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He and his wife Patricia J. (Frey) Geiger celebrated their 24th wedding anniversary on April 15.

Born Dec. 11, 1937, in Schnecksville, he was the son of the late Victor C. and Lillie G. (Koehler) Geiger, and the stepson of Marion E. (Mack) Geiger.

He faithfully and honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during a peacetime era.

A professional land surveyor, trading as Victor R. Geiger Surveyor, Lehighton, for 40 years before retiring in 2008, he was a life member of the Pa. Society of Professional Land Surveyors and the North East Chapter of Professional Land Surveyors.

He also was a life member of the Pocono Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club, where he taught safety courses.

He was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Scott A. and his wife, Gail, of New York; stepson Col. William K. Oswald, Ph.D. and his wife, Kathy, of Virginia; stepdaughter Donna M. White and her husband, Jeffrey, of Texas; siblings Ernest V. of Schnecksville, Anna M. Breininger of Orefield, Grace L. Sell of Schnecksville, Diane M. Scherer of Slatington, Joyce A. Burda of Whitehall; and eight grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Herbert P.
