Patio window
smashed
A 27-year-old man reported a removable patio window was smashed at 12:30 p.m. April 6 at his home in the 4400 block of Orefield Road, North Whitehall Township, State Police Troop M Bethlehem say.
Police say his sister-in-law was babysitting the children when she heard a window smash on the west side removable patio window, near the side door.
The dogs began to bark and the sister-in-law screamed.
Several fingerprints were seen on the broken window and on the plastic cover on the inside of the home near the window, police say.
Forensic Services Unit was contacted and processed the crime scene.
Five latent prints were lifted and sent to the Automated Fingerprint ID System for evaluation, police say.
Man thrown
from motorcycle
Adam G. Snyder, 29, of Laurys Station, was operating a 1995 Honda CBR motorcycle in the left lane of Route 145 south of 2nd St., North Whitehall, at 4:25 p.m. April 14 when he was thrown from the bike, State Police Troop M Bethlehem say.
According to police, Snyder, who allegedly was traveling at a high rate of speed, crested a hill, saw a police vehicle and attempted to slow down.
This caused him to lose control of the bike and Snyder to be thrown from the seat, police say.
Snyder traveled approximately 100 yards on the roadwa. The motorcycle traveled approximately 162 yards.
Snyder, who was wearing a motorcycle helmet, sustained a major injury and transported by Northern Valley EMS to Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
He was charged with careless driving, police say.
A hospital spokesperson said April 23 there is no record of Snyder being in the hospital.
