Naomi E. Davis, 83, of New Tripoli, died April 20, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown.

She was predeceased by her husband Marvin H. Davis in January 2012, after sharing 57 years of marriage.

Born in Lehighton, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Evelyn ( Heilman) Wetzel.

She was a member of Jacob's Church, Jacksonville, Lynn Township, where she was a former Sunday School teacher, and where she wrote and produced many of the Sunday School Christmas programs.

She had a beautiful voice and was a former choir member.

A graduate of Lehighton High School, she loved reading and writing, and had a few of her articles published in both Country Homes and Redbook magazines.

She thought living in the New Tripoli area was as close to heaven as one could get.

She was most happy when she was gardening or tending to her animals.

You always knew you were going to get a good meal when you visited the Davis home.

She is survived by a daughter Rebecca Ann, wife of Christopher T. Gehringer of Allentown; a granddaughter Elizabeth; step-grandchildren Lauren, Jennifer, Christopher, Jack and Peter; and step-great grandchildren Michael, Samantha, Jack, Sadie, Christopher, Zachary and Sophia.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Center for Animal Health and Welfare, 1165 Island Park Road, Easton, PA 18042.
