Coplay police

Police respond to harassment

Police were called Friday afternoon to a residence in the 1100 block of Center Street.

The resident told police two individuals he knows from Northampton drove by his house and threw a bottle on his lawn, police said.

The offender left the area before police arrived.

Police said the issue is an ongoing problem and advised the Coplay resident of his legal options.

Carbon monoxide detector goes off

Shortly before 9 p.m. Saturday, police responded to a call in the unit block of North Seventh Street for a report of a carbon monoxide detector sounding.

The resident was evaluated at he scene by EMS personnel. She declined further treatment, police said.

The Coplay Fire Department responded and handled the situation accordingly, police said.

Parked vehicle hit

A North Whitehall Township resident reported to police April 19 her 2007 Subaru Impreza was struck while it was parked in the 100 block of North Second Street.

The driver fled the scene after the crash, police said.

Vehicle strikes telephone pole

A Lehigh Township resident told police April 8 his 2001 Nissan Altima drifted off the road and struck a telephone pole in the 200 block of North Second Street.

He said he took his eyes off the road as he was watching a borough crew working at the parkway pool, police said.

The vehicle was later towed. Police said the driver was not injured.
