There will be a ceremony 2 p.m. April 28 honoring the most recent entries to the Plaza of the Korea Vietnam Memorial and to celebrate the eighth anniversary of the dedication of the U.S. Armed Forces Plaza.
The program will be in Berrier Hall at Lehigh-Carbon Community College, Schnecksville.
Parking is available on both sides of Berrier Hall, which is handicap accessible.
Guest speaker will be Sgt. Clyde Hoch of Pennsburg. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam, 1965-1969, as a tank commander. He will share his military experiences and the books he has written: "Tracks-Memoir of a Vietnam Vet" and "A Tribute to Tankers."
Special recognition will be given to individuals and groups who have supported KVM.
An Eagle Scout project by Alexander Neith, Parkland High School junior will be presented to KVM at the Plaza.
Sponsors of this project are Dual-Temp Company Inc., Allentown, Upper Lehigh Lions Club, Schnecksville, Krause Toyota, Fogelsville and Micro-Clean Green Technologies, Bethlehem.
A reception will follow in Berrier Hall. Everyone is invited to visit the plaza to honor all veterans, recognize the new entries, and to see the Eagle Scout project.
Veterans can be honored at the plaza throughout the year. Donations are tax deductible and are being accepted to maintain the Plaza.
