Eleanor E. Brown, 78, of Allentown, died on April 11, 2013, in St. Luke's Hospice, Bethlehem.

She was the widow of the Rev. Donald L. Brown.

Born in McClure, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Charles E. and Blanche (Lichtenwalner) Brodell.

She was a member of Jordan Lutheran Church, Orefield, where her late husband was associate pastor from 1984-96.

She served on the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America World Hunger Appeal Team.

She was also a board member of the Auxiliary of Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg Campus, for many years.

Her survivors include sons the Rev. David L. and wife Karen of Allentown, Philip J. and wife Sharri of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and Kenneth C. with whom she resided; daughter, Barbara J., wife of Deven Knoll of Northampton; sister, Margaret L., wife of Lester Baldauff of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchildren Jeremiah, Aubrey, Lexie, Meg and Austin; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, John A. Brodell.
