Harold W. Albright

Harold W. (Hal) Albright, 90, of Macun-gie, formerly of Emmaus, died April 11, 2013, at home. He was the husband of Charlotte E. (Klinger) Albright. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late William A. and Helen R. (Urffer) Albright.

He was a graduate of Emmaus High School. He worked 44 years in advertising sales for the Call-Chronicle Newspapers/ Morning Call, Allentown.

He was a charter member and past president of the Sertoma Club, Allentown, where he served in various positions and was chosen twice as the club Sertoman of the Year.

He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Emmaus, where he had served on church council and special committees, been a member of the senior choir and served as a lay liturgist for many years.

He was well known for his sense of humor, gentle words, regard for others and involvement in the community. He took pride in his family, and enjoyed gardening, cooking and family vacations. He loved music, especially opera, and golfing and fishing with friends.

He is survived by his wife; children, Rebecca Hanson and Brad; grandson, Garrett Bartels. He was predeceased by brothers Roy and Charles; sisters, Mildred Woodzell and Karyl Smith.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church, 501 Chestnut St., Emmaus, 18049.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 20 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut St., Emmaus. Calling hour 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church. Arrangements were made by the Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, Emmaus.
