Members of the Jones Quigg American Legion Post 739, Hokendauqua, were recently recognized by state Sen. Lisa Boscola, D-18, with plaques for outstanding service to their community, veterans and the Hokendauqua American Legion. The men also assisted with the Welcome Home Veterans programs and military funerals. They put together 900 packages to send overseas to the troops, sponsored scholarships, benefit breakfasts and renovations and participated in patriotic services, sports and Scouting drives.
