Janet Hornick, 77, of Macungie, died suddenly March 20, 2012, while in Florida. She was the wife of Kenneth Hornick. They were married for 58 years. She was born in Detroit, Mich.

She worked for AT&T for 35 years before retiring, beginning as a clerk and finishing as an HR manager.

She enjoyed keeping in touch with family and friends, playing cards and shopping.

She is survived by her husband; sons Kevin, Keith and his wife Carol; daughter, Kathleen and her husband Dave Kerr; grandchildren, Ryan, Lindsay, Jensen, Brett, Andrew; sisters, Charlotte and her husband Dexter VanWicklin and Helen Norkus; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Byron and his wife MaryJane.

Per her wishes, she was interred at Acacia Park Cemetery following a service in Michigan. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 14, at the Clubhouse at The Ridings, 350 Ridge Circle, Macungie 1 to 3 p.m., with a service 2:30 p.m.
