The Northampton Area Food Bank will hold a general meeting Tuesday, April 30, in the fellowship hall of Queenship of Mary Catholic Church, 1324 Newport Ave.
Dinner will be served 6-7 p.m. with the business meeting to follow.
The board encourages all volunteers, clients and anyone else interested in the food bank to attend this meeting and slide presentation. Area churches are asked to invite their congregants.

Good Shepherd Catholic School's Little Lambs Preschool will host the "Reading Power" Story Hour Tuesday, April 16, 10-11 a.m., for children ages 2 to 5.
The event, which will take place in the gymnasium, will include story time, play time, snack time and a special guest appearance by Clifford, the Big Red Dog. Each child who attends will receive a free book.
Anyone interested should RSVP by April 13.
The school is accepting registrations for the upcoming 2013-14 school year. The school serves students residing in the school districts of Northampton, Catasauqua and Whitehall as well as Parkland, Northern Lehigh and Bethlehem.

The Quota Club of Northampton is running a bus trip fundraiser to New York City to see the Broadway musical "Newsies" on Saturday, May 4. The bus will leave from Northampton at 8 a.m. for a 2 p.m. show.

The Northampton Area Public Library, located at 1615 Laubach Ave., will hold a family story and craft time featuring "The Bus for Us" by Suzanne Bloom Tuesday, April 16, at either 10 a.m. or 6 p.m. A session is also available 10 a.m. Wesday, April 17.
Registration for the program is underway. A current library card is needed.

Northampton AARP Chapter 3915 will meet Wednesday, April 10, at Allen Township Fire Company, 3530 Howertown Road.
Doors open at noon. Entertainment will be a speaker from Habitat for Humanity.
Attendees are asked to bring baked goods for refreshments. The meeting is open to anyone aged 50 or older.
