Kathleen M. Herring, 70, from Wescosville, died March 29, 2013, at home with her family by her side. She and her husband Guy A. Herring Sr. celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on July 1, 2012.

Born in Summit Station, she was a daughter of the late Howard M. and Ina A. (Long) Fessler.

She worked for Lucent Technologies for 27 years before retiring in 1998.

She was a member of Hope United Church of Christ, Allentown.

A Phillies fan, she enjoyed camping and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Guy A. Jr. and his wife, Wanda, of Kutztown; daughter Aletha M. Schade and her husband, Larry of Allentown; brother Howard and his wife, Carolyn, of Schuyl-kill Haven; sister Shirley J. Deibert, of Auburn; grandchildren Stephanie, Guy III and his wife, Jenna, Melanie, Tabitha and Spencer; and sister-in-law, Betty Fessler.

She was predeceased by a brother, James S. and brother-in-law, Harold Deibert.
