Craig E. Knauss, 76, of Allentown, died March 25, 2013, in his home.

Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Harry L. and Thurza (Evans) Knauss.

He was a senior engineer at New Jersey Zinc for 52 years before retiring in 2009.

He was the current secretary of the Parkland Trojan Alumni Varsity Club, and a member of the Lehigh County Senior Citizens Center, and Allentown Patriots Red Old Timers.

He was active in sports throughout his entire life playing baseball, softball, horseshoes and volleyball.

Last year, he received a gold medal at the Keystone Senior Games in volleyball.

He is survived a brother Jack R. and his wife, Elaine of Mertztown; niece Cathy German; nephews Richard, Daniel and Steven; great-niece and nephews.
