Robert C. Boehmer, 80, of Brein-igsville, died March 24, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown .

He was the husband of Doris (Dippre) Boehmer with whom he shared 61 years of marriage.

Born in Nuremberg, Schuylkill County, he was the son of the late Charles and Florence (Croll) Boehmer.

He was employed by Air Products for 38 years before retiring in 1986.

After retiring from Air Products, he continued part time work for Dries Hardware, Macungie.

A Korean War Navy veteran, he served on the aircraft carriers Bennington and Hornet.

He was a longtime member of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Robert and his wife, Linda, of Emmaus; Dwight and his wife, Maureen, of Bangor; grandchildren Nicholas Boehmer and his wife Heather, Megan Murphy and her husband Sean, and Christopher Boehmer; great-grandchildren McKenna, Shane and Benjamin; sister Lorraine Baum, of Nuremberg; and brother David, of Nuremberg.

Contributions may be made in his name to the church.
