Robert C. Boehmer, 80, of Breinigs ville, died March 24, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Allentown Hospice. He was the husband of Doris (Dippre) Boehmer with whom he shared 61 years of marriage. Born in Nuremberg, he was the son of the late Charles and Florence (Croll) Boehmer.
He was employed by Air Products for 38 years, retiring in 1986. After retiring he worked part-time work for Dries Hardware, Macungie.
He was a Navy Korean War veteran who served on the aircraft carriers Bennington and Hornet.
He was a long time member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus.
He is survived by his wife; sons, Robert and his wife, Linda, of Emmaus; Dwight and his wife Maureen, of Bangor; grandchildren, Nicholas and his wife Heather, Megan and her husband Sean Murphy, and Christopher; great-grandchildren, McKenna, Shane and Benjamin; sister, Lorraine Baum, of Nuremberg; brother, David, of Nuremberg.
Contributions may be made in his name to the church.
Services will be held noon, Wednesday, March 27, at Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, Emmaus. Viewing 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday in the church.
