Kenneth R. Holland Sr.

Kenneth R. Holland Sr., 86, of Emmaus, died March 24, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of the late Frances A. (Schmeltzle) Holland. Born in Topton, he was the son of the late George W. and Beulah (Hilbert) Holland.

He was a knitter for the former Royal Manufacturers and an assembler for the former General Machine, Emmaus, retiring in 1989.

He was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Old Zionsville.

He was a past member of the Milford Men's Bowling League, a life member of Emmaus Citizen's Fire Co. #2, and a member of the Alburtis Senior Citizens.

He honorably served his country in the Navy during World War II.

He is survived by sons, Kenneth R. and his wife Nancy, of Emmaus, and Dennis R. Sr. and his wife Lucy, of Emmaus; brother, Melvin C. and his wife Jennie, of Wylersville; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Wesley Holland and Lloyd Trexler and a sister, Melba Kleppinger.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 27 in the Schantz Funeral Home P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
