Donations accepted to assist fire victims

Three funds have been established to help the families of the Emmaus fire victims.

Memorial donations are being directed to the Twining/Jenkins Memorial Fund, The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 South Cedar Crest Blvd, Emmaus, 18049; the proceeds of which will be used to help the victims of this past week's fire in Emmaus. Any residual monies will be directed to the Rejoicing Spirits Ministry at The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit. Every effort is being made to emotionally, spiritually and financially support the families of Melissa, Montana and David. Schantz Funeral Home, the congregation, the staff and a number of members along with Senior Pastor Ric Elliott have actively stepped forward to support the Twining and Jenkins families.

Another fund has also been set up to offset the cost of funeral arrangements and services for those that perished in the fire. The Business and Community Alliance and Emmaus resident (and outreach coordinator for this cause), Sue Zacharda, have established an account at National Penn Bank (formerly KNBT) to defray the cost of services for the four victims. Checks should be made payable to EFVFF (Emmaus Fire Victims Funeral Fund) and mailed to: P.O. Box 193, Emmaus, 18049 or via Paypal. Monetary donations will be accepted until April 15.

For more information, visit their Facebook page (Emmaus Fire Victims Funeral Fund) or contact Sue at slz2980@gmail.com or the Business and Community Alliance at info@bandcalliance.co.

Contributions are also being accepted at McDonald's, 1101 Chestnut St., Emmaus, to benefit Bobby Taylor who lived in the building. Taylor works at McDonald's.
