March 27

The Emmaus Historical Society will meet 7 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus. The program will be "Rodale Manufacturing" including its history, departments, products and people. Former employees are encouraged to participate in this nostalgic night.

March 28

The Lehigh Valley Chapter 1371 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees will conduct their monthly meeting noon in the community room of St. Peters Lutheran Church, 1933 Hanover Ave., Allentown. A program will follow the luncheon. All current and former federal employees are invited to attend. There will be a cost for the luncheon. The Kiwanis Club of Emmaus will hold a Walter C. Stoudt Memorial Prayer Breakfast 7:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut Street, Emmaus. Seating is limited to 150. Tickets will be available at the door or by calling 610-395-4818.

The Emmaus Kiwanis Club will hold their 61st annual Easter egg hunt 1 p.m. at Emmaus Community Park. There will be five age groups for toddlers through age 10 with prizes for numbered eggs. For more information, call 610-395-4818.

Huffs Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis, will be having an Oyster and Wixon shoofly pie sale. Orders must be placed by March 31 for pickup in the chapel basement 9 a.m. to noon April 6.

April 4

Allentown AARP Chapter #5415 will meet noon at St. Timothy's Church, 140 So. Ott St., Allentown. The program will be Senior Center Chorus. Business meeting will follow. Bring a non-perishable food item for the Allentown Food Bank. For information, call 610-437-4265.

The Lehigh Valley Chapter of Executive Women International will hold its monthly meeting at the Blue Grill House, 4431 Pennsylvania Ave., Bethlehem. The board will meet 5:30 p.m. followed by a social time 6 p.m. and dinner at 6:15 p.m. The guest speaker is Mary Ellen Jackson, executive director of the Center for Humanistic Change. Jackson will be discussing the work done with elementary students in the Bethlehem Area School District.

April 14

Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 535 W. Emaus Ave. Allentown, will host a basket bingo featuring Longenberger, Vera Bradley, Pampered Chef and Thirty-One 12:30 p.m. Tickets are limited and there is a cost. All proceeds will go to the church youth group. For more information, call 610-797-4393.

The Joint Emmaus Upper Milford Environmental Advisory Council will hold an educational session on South Mountain 7 p.m. in the Upper Milford Township Building, 5671 Chestnut Street. This is the second in a four part series and the theme will be "Today's Landscape: Uses and Values: From Biking to Hiking, from Water to Biodiversity."

April 18

Sacred Heart Senior Living, 4851 Saucon Creek Road, Center Valley, will host a seminar on veteran benefits 6:30 p.m. Director of Veterans Affairs for Lehigh County Tom Dye will provide information on benefits veterans may be entitled to.

April 19

Lower Macungie Middle School will host their second annual Mini-Thon April 19. The event will benefit The Four Diamonds Fund for pediatric cancer. It will be a multi-hour dance marathon where students will seek donations to help families paying for medical treatment.

April 20

Sacred Heart Senior Living, 4851 Saucon Creek Road, Center Valley, will host a program about the risk factors potentially leading to Alzheimer's disease or other related dementias. "Maintain Your Brain" will teach visitors how to live a brain healthy lifestyle with a review of certain diets, foods and exercises.

April 22

The GFWC Women's Club of Emmaus will be holding their monthly meeting 7 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 5th and Chestnut streets, Emmaus. The program will be "A Stroll Through Time" with speaker Faith Andrews presenting a fashion show of vintage outfits.
