There will be an electronics recycling day for area residents from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 13. The event, sponsored by Olympus, Lowe's Home Improvement, LCCC and Lehigh County, will take place at Lowe's, 1235 Martin Court.
TV's, calculators, computers, typewriters, laptops, telephones, small appliances, fax machines, microwaves, monitors, cameras, keyboards, cell, phones, computer, mice and air conditioners will be accepted.
Material collected will be recycled by eForce Compliance, who maintains a zero landfill policy and zero export of hazardous ewaste to developing countries. eForce is Pennsylvania's only multi-certified electronic recycling company (R2, e-Stewards, ISO 14011) and assures all data media will be destroyed or wiped at their facility.
