The newly built three-bay Hokendauqua Fire Station needs only a few odds and ends before it is complete. Assistant Fire Chief Francis Bilder said the $140,000 fire station on Second Street includes a much needed storage area and a restroom. Bilder said funding for the fire station came from hoagie sales, Christmas tree sales and other projects, as well as a loan from the fireman's relief association. The two fire trucks are now housed in the new station. A dedication ceremony will be held in early summer.
