Ferrel M. George, 96, of Schnecksville, died March 19, 2013, in the home of his daughter.
He and his late wife Gertrude I. George were married 75 years.
He was the son of the late Morris S. and Katie Estella (Sterner) George.
A member of Redeemer Lutheran Church for more than 60 years, he performed many volunteer duties at the church.
He worked at Ritz Bar-B-Q, was a milkman for Lehigh Valley Dairy and worked at the Pa. Army National Guard Armory, Allentown, until retiring.
His survivors include sons James W. of Schnecksville, Robert F. and his wife Carol "Woody" of Schnecksville; daughter Carol A., wife of the late Lt. Col. Leonard M. Vitek, of Hellertown; sisters Delphine, wife of the late David G. Rossi of Schnecksville, Lorna Ogilvie of Breinigsville; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a brother, Angus.
His services will be 10:30 a.m. March 23, at Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown, with the Rev. Donna T. Deal officiating.
Family and friends may pay their respects starting at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
