Ralph L. Handwerk, 94, of Orefield, died March 9, 2013, in his home.

He was the husband of the late Hermi (Wannamaker) Handwerk.

Born in Schnecksville, he was a son of the late Homer and Ellen (Miller) Handwerk.

The largest potato farmer in Lehigh County, he was very involved with the Schnecksville Grange.

Very active in the Carnival Glass Club, he was an avid collector.

He was a member of Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schnecksville.

His survivors include a son Harold R. of Kempton; granddaughter Nina and her husband, Attorney Tom Reilly; great-grandchildren Morgan and Ian.

He was predeceased by his brother Herman.

His services will be 10:30 a.m. March 14 at Union Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5500 Route 873, Schnecksville.

Call 9:30-10:30 a.m. Thursday in the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church.
