Coplay Recreation & Welfare Association's community children egg hunt will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 30, on the lawn of Saint Peter's Catholic Church.
The Easter Bunny will pose for photos. Children up to age 10 are eligible to participate in one of several age divisions. All participants will be given additional candy treats.
The event, dating back to the 1950s, now features plastic eggs rather than hard boiled real eggs. The plastic eggs are filled with jelly beans and numbered prize eggs are mixed with them.

The rec and welfare association food bank will again treat clients to Easter dinner. Along with their monthly food allotment, clients will receive a ham, stuffing, rice, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce and vegetables to take home and prepare for the holiday.
While its annual October Halloween parade seems far off, the association hopes businesses and organizations will sponsor one of the four divisions in the parade.
With growing costs and fewer donations, the association is looking for sponsors
In addition, the association reminds residents its inventory of convalescent equipment, for homebound or those returning home from a hospital stay, are available without a fee. The equipment ranges from hospital beds, wheelchairs to simpler equipment such as crutches and canes.
