Klobosits earns dean's list recognition

Caitlin Klobosits of Coplay has been named to the fall 2012 dean's list at Mansfield University.

To be named to the dean's list, a student must be attending the university full-time and attain at least a 3.5 GPA for the semester.

residents named to dean's list

Danielle K. Fatzinger of North Catasauqua and Stephen M. Wetherhold of Catasauqua were recently named to the McDaniel College dean's list for the fall 2012 semester.

Fatzinger received highest honors and Wetherhold received honors.

Highest honors are earned for a semester grade point average of 3.90 or higher, high honors for a grade-point average of 3.70-3.89 and honors for a 3.50-3.69 average.

Billings named to dean's list

Kayleigh Billings has been named to the dean's list for the fall semester 2012 at Lehigh University.

Billings, a 2010 graduate of Northampton Area High School, is a junior majoring in psychology with minors in history and Russian.

She is the daughter of Sean and Johanna S. Billings of Danielsville.

Dean's list recognition is reserved for full-time students who earn a semester GPA of 3.6 or above on a 4.0 scale.

Snyder named to dean's list

Casey Snyder of Bath has been named to the fall 2012 dean's list at Taylor University.

Full-time students are named to the dean's list when they earn a 3.6 GPA or higher for the term and take at least 12 hours of classes.

Lee, Klemp named to dean's list

Hannah Lee and Erika Klemp, both of Northampton, were honored by Dr. Bashar Hanna, Delaware Valley College's vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty, for being named to the fall 2012 dean's list.

Taylor earns dean's list status

Theodore C. Taylor of Coplay, a sophomore majoring in civil engineering, was named to the dean's list for the fall 2012 semester at Clarkson University.

Dean's list students must achieve a minimum 3.25 GPA and also carry at least 14 credit hours.

Local students named to

Jennifer Joswick and Jayde Hooven of Northampton and Elizabeth Reese of Whitehall have been named to the fall 2012 University of Scranton dean's list.

Joswick is a senior secondary education and Spanish major, Hooven is a sophomore majoring in biology and Reese is a sophomore majoring in nursing.

Students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours to make the dean's list.

Breiner named to dean's list

Allison Breiner of Northampton has been named to Millersville University of Pennsylvania's dean's list for the fall 2012 semester.

Students named to the dean's list must earn a semester GPA of 3.50 or higher and attempt at least 12 credits of course work.

Mease named to dean's list

Nigel Mease of Northampton has been named to the fall 2012 dean's list at Hartwick College.

Mease is majoring in history and political science. He is the son of Maria and Rickey Mease.

Inclusion on Hartwick's dean's list requires completion of a full course load with at least a 3.5 grade point average based on a 4.0 scale.

Roginsky named to dean's list

Katlyn Roginsky of Bath has been named to Alvernia University's dean's list for the fall 2012 semester.

Roginsky is a sophomore biochemistry major and a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School.

To be eligible for the dean's list, students must carry a semester GPA of 3.5 or better and take a minimum of 12 credits.

Christina Wargo of Catasauqua and Kiersten Unangst of Whitehall recently were named to the fall 2012 dean's list at Hofstra University.

JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY

Bastidas named to president's list

Adam Bastidas, of Catasauqua, has been named to the president's list at James Madison University for the fall 2012 semester. Bastidas is a senior majoring in interdisciplinary liberal studies.

Students who earn president's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of 3.9 or higher.

Navarre named to dean's list

Lauren Navarre, of Northampton, has been named to the dean's list at Temple University School of Pharmacy.

Navarre is a candidate for the graduating class of 2014. She graduated from Central Catholic High School in 2007. She works as a part-time pharmacy intern at Newhard's Pharmacy in Northampton.

She is the daughter of Ronald and Denise Navarre.

Local students earn dean's list recognition

Whitehall residents Cara Basile, Ian Foley, Julia Nguyen and Sarah Wasley have been named to the fall 2012 Wilkes University dean's list.

Also named to the dean's list for the fall semester were Catasauqua residents James DaRe, Katelyn Lawlor and Amanda Peters, Coplay resident Christina Harrison and Northampton resident Jaclyn Werkheiser.

To be named to the dean's list, students must obtain a minimum 3.4 GPA and carry at least 12 credits.

UNIVERSITY OF RHODE ISLAND

Kistler named to dean's list

Rebecca C. Kistler of Northampton has been named to the fall 2012 dean's list at the University of Rhode Island.

To be included on the dean's list, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 credits with a 3.30 quality point average.

LEBANON VALLEY COLLEGE

Whitehall students named to dean's list

Megan L. Berner and Nicholas C. Melosky, both of Whitehall, were named to the fall 2012 dean's list at Lebanon Valley College.

Berner is a freshman actuarial science major and Melosky is an open science major. Both Berner and Melosky are graduates of Whitehall High School.

Dean's list students must maintain a 3.4 average out of a possible 4.0.

ITHACA COLLEGE

Flyte named to dean's list

Eric Flyte of Bath was named to the dean's list at Ithaca College for the fall 2012 semester.

Flyte is a junior majoring in performance and music education.
