Mark your calendar for East Allen Township's annual Easter egg hunt.

This year's event will be held Saturday, March 23, 1 p.m., at Bicentennial Park.

The rain date is March 24.

Northampton AARP Chapter 3915 will meet Wednesday, March 13, at the Allen Township Fire Company, 3530 Howertown Road. Doors open at noon.

The Hinkle family will entertain.

Those planning to attend are asked to bring a baked good.

Anyone the age of 50 and up is welcome to join Chapter 3915.

St. John's United Church of Christ, Howertown, will hold a Holiday Happenings fundraiser Sunday, March 17, at the church, located at 22 Atlas Road.

The event is sponsored by the senior choir and Vernell Hawkins, church organist, is the event coordinator.

The fun begins at 1 p.m., when guests will visit the decorated tables.

A prayer and a meal begin at 2 p.m. The menu includes barbecue, macaroni salad, punch and coffee. The table sponsors provide appetizers, desserts and party favors.

The Northampton Area High School Chorus will entertain at 3 p.m.

Sign-ups for spring sports are under way at the East Allen Township Municipal Building, 5344 Nor-Bath Blvd.

Boys and girls ages 5 to 12 (must turn 12 after May 1) are eligible to play T-ball, baseball, softball and soccer.

Registration is being held Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
