March 7

The Lehigh Valley Chapter of Executive Women International will celebrate their 30th anniversary 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Tompkins College Center Dining Hall at Cedar Crest College, Allentown. For information regarding membership, contact Jennifer Ceneviva at jniffer20@ yahoo.com.

Allentown AARP Chapter #5415 will meet noon at St. Timothy's Church, 140 South Ott St., Allentown. Sara Ullmer from the Crime Victim's Council will speak on "elder abuse." Bring a nonperishable food item for the Allentown Food Bank.

Lower Macungie AARP Chapter # 4150 will meet noon in the community room of the Lower Macungie Library, 3450 Brookside Road, Macungie. Entertainment will be provided by the "Folks Gospel Quartet."

The Delaware-Lehigh Amateur Radio Club will hold its monthly meeting 7:30 p.m. in the Bethlehem Township Community Center, 2900 Farmersville Road, Bethlehem. The program will be "VHF/UHF & Microwave Contesting." Members and interested general public are welcome.

March 9

The Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Quarry Road, Alburtis, will hold their spring bazaar 9 to 2 p.m. There will be crafts, a white elephant sale, a Chinese auction, a bake sale and food.

Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown, will hold a community breakfast 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations will benefit the 275th anniversary committee. For more information, call 610-797-4242.

March 12

Lehigh County TRIAD will meet 8 a.m. at Emeritus, 1545 Greenleaf Street, Allentown. The program will be "Keeping the Keys/Older Wiser Driver" presented by AAA East Central Driving Instructor Keith Newhard.

March 13

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network will host a free stroke support group meeting 1 to 2 p.m. in the middle level conference room of the Good Shepherd Health and Technology Center, 850 S. Fifth Street, Allentown. For more information, call 610-776-3585.

The Lower Macungie Garden Club will meet 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lower Macungie Township Community Center, 3400 Brookside Road, Macungie. Learn how to turn kitchen scraps into nutritious soil amendments your plants and flowers will enjoy. Penn State Master Gardener Joe Judge will explain how to recycle what you have in your yard and kitchen to enrich your soil and conserve landfill space.

March 15

The Lower Macungie Library, 3450 Brookside Road, Lower Macungie Township, will host a Mango Language kickoff 1 to 3 p.m. The library will provide this free language-learning system to patrons. There will be more than 40 language courses available and 16 English as a second language courses. Staff will be available to show you how Mango works and to answer any questions about the language system.

March 16

Old Zionsville UCC Church, 5981 Fountain Road, Old Zionsville, will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet and bake sale 7 to 11 a.m. There will be a cost for guests six and over for breakfast. The public is welcome to attend. For information, call 610-966-5115.

Local naturalist and outdoor writer/photographer, Bud Cole, will present a PowerPoint program about the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, 3 p.m. at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center. Learn more about this fascinating Pacific Ocean archipelago located 600 miles west of Ecuador. Spend St. Patrick's Day in the LGNC Visitors Center while taking a vicarious tour of the volcanic islands. March 19

The Concerned East Penn Taxpayers Association will meet 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Fire Company #1, 50 South 6th Street, Emmaus. The program will be "Gun Rights" with the National Rifle Association and an opposing view to be announced.

March 20

Sacred Heart Senior Living, 4851 Saucon Creek Road, Center Valley, will host a seminar on insurance changes from the Affordable Healthcare Act 6:30 p.m. A light dinner will be provided during the presentation.

March 21

The Upper Milford Historical Society will meet 7 p.m. in the Upper Milford Township Municipal Building, Old Zionsville. The topic will be "Tramps, Hobos and Other Wanderers" with Betty Krauss speaking as Wanderer Alice Reinert.

March 24

Citizens' Fire Co. #2, 1017-21 Pennsylvania Ave., Emmaus, will host basket bingo with doors opening 1 p.m. and games beginning 2 p.m. Food will be available for purchase. There will be specials and a raffle. For tickets or more information, call 610-965-2097.

The Emmaus Kiwanis Club will hold their 61st annual Easter egg hunt 1 p.m. at Emmaus Community Park. There will be five age groups for toddlers through age 10 with prizes for numbered eggs. For more information, call 610-395-4818.

Huffs Union Church, 540 Conrad Road, Alburtis, will be having an Oyster and Wixon shoofly pie sale. Orders must be placed by March 31 for pickup in the chapel basement 9 a.m. to noon April 6.

April 7

The Lower Macungie Fire Department, 958 Brookside Road, Allentown, will host a basket and pottery bingo with doors opening noon and games beginning 1 p.m. For tickets or more information, call Cindy at 484-239-3945.

April 14

Trinity Memorial Lutheran Church, 535 W. Emaus Ave. Allentown, will host a basket bingo featuring Longenberger, Vera Bradley, Pampered Chef and Thirty-One 12:30 p.m. Tickets are limited and there is a cost. All proceeds will go to the church youth group. For more information, call 610-797-4393.

Sacred Heart Senior Living, 4851 Saucon Creek Road, Center Valley, will host a seminar on veteran benefits 6:30 p.m. Director of Veterans Affairs for Lehigh County Tom Dye will provide information on benefits veterans may be entitled to.
