U.S. Luge Team sleds lost, found
Police were called to Airport Road near Old Carriage Road in East Allen Township Feb. 15 to investigate a report of lost sleds owned by the U.S. Luge Team Association of Lake Place, N.Y.
Police said the rear door of a box truck opened and sleds owned by the U.S. Luge Team fell off the truck and onto the road.
In a separate incident report issued Feb. 22, police reported a citizen who lives near Route 248 on Dannersville Road found the sleds.
The resident thought they belonged to a neighbor and stored them in a garage, police said.
Once the resident heard police reports about the missing U.S. Luge Team sleds, the person contacted police.
A representative of the luge team has been notified and will make arrangements to pick up the sleds, police said.
Cellphone stolen
State police reported between Jan. 19 and Jan. 31 a black Samsung Android cellphone was taken from a residence in the 1000 block of Hogan Way, Allen Township.
Police are investigating.
