St. Joseph R.C. Church will hold a public votive Mass at noon March 16 in the sanctuary, 417 E. Fifth St. The second annual service is in honor of the feast day of the church's patron, St. Joseph.
The church, founded by Slovenian immigrants in 1913, was one of several churches closed in 2008 by the Allentown Diocese. Parishioners then applealed to the Vatican. In 2011, the church was allowed to reopen for both funerals and the patron saint day.
