Peter Christian "Pete" Larson, of Macungie, died February 19, 2013, at the Phoebe Home, Allentown, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was the husband of Carole Larson. They were married for 23 years. Born in Johnstown, he was the son of the late Hugo and Esthena (Randolph) Larson.

He graduated from Penn State University in 1953 and joined the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

He worked in the asphalt industry for Frank B. Saylor Company, Lake Asphalt, and the Sun Company, where he retired. Following retirement, he and his wife owned the Wild Bird Center at the Village West Shopping Center, Allentown for many years.

He had been a long-time member of the Saucon Valley Country Club, where he enjoyed playing golf.

He is survived by his wife; sons, Jon, of Emmaus, and Jess and his wife Sandra, of Phoenixville; former wife, Jane Saylor Larson, of Las Cruces, N.M.; stepsons, Bruce McKiel, of Allentown, and Colin McKiel and his wife Lesley, of Bridgeton, N.C.; stepgrandchildren, Whitney and her husband Bret Wagner, and Adam Paul McKiel; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Taylor Lynn and Caden Jace Wagner; brother, Paul and his wife Betty; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Hugo; sister, Nell Joanne Telleen.
