GlenRoy P. Meck, 88, of Macungie, died February 22, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Florence E. (Kemp) Meck. They were married for 66 years. Born in Longswamp Township, he was a son of the late Briden C. and Eula H. (Shoemaker) Meck.

He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Macungie.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II. He was a member of the Macungie VFW and Macungie Fire Company No. 1.

He was employed as a laborer at the former Macungie Foundry for many years, retiring in 1986.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Alice J., wife of the late Carl G. "Wimpy" Rahn, of Kutztown, Luella M. and her husband Barry J. Faustner, of Emmaus; sons, Dennis J., of Macungie, and Allen G. and his wife Nancy H., of Macungie; sister, Pearl J., wife of the late Franklin A. Trexler, of Mertztown; three grandchildren, Melanie A. Chester, Paul E. Rahn, Anthony M. Woolley; six great-grandchildren.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ludwick Funeral Homes Inc., 25 East Weis St., Topton. Friends may call Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
