Thomas J. Kunkle, 68, of New Tripoli, died Feb. 17, 2013, in his home.

He was the husband of Patricia A. (Flammer) Kunkle.

Born April 18, 1944, in Slatington, he was the son of the late Paul E. and Mary (Valora) Kunkle.

He was a self-employed stone mason for more than 40 years.

He also operated the Donut Stop in New Tripoli from 2000-05.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Justin C. of Kutztown, Travis C. and Theresa Marie both of Las Vegas, N.V., Ronica L. Kunkle Turocy and her husband, Steven, of Northampton; siblings Donald of Slatington, David and Nancy Balliet, both of Walnutport, Arlene Breisch of Schnecksville; and granddaughters Brittany and Cheyenne.

He was predeceased by siblings Paul, Richard, Larry, Betty Heckman, Mary Jane Balliet and Carol Swietzer.

A memorial service will take place 7 p.m. on Feb. 22, in Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville, with Chaplain Alex Hud officiating.

Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
