Some 180 student musicians from 45 middle schools in seven counties recently met at Saucon Valley High School in Hellertown.

They were participating in the Feb. 1 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 10 Intermediate Band and Orchestra Fest.

The event brought the students and their band directors to the school for lessons and rehearsals all day before they held a concert that evening in the Saucon Valley School District Auditorium.

Guest conductors for the concert were Debra Reilly, string orchestra, and Dr. Scott Watson, band.
