Kathryn E. Snyder, 79, of New Tripoli, died Feb. 15, 2013, in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown.

She and her husband Ernest D. Snyder celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in November 2012.

Born in Lynn Township, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Esther ( Hamm) Koenig.

She was a clerk for the U.S. Postal Service in the New Tripoli substation until retiring in 1995.

A member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ, New Tripoli, she served for many years as the former church secretary and a member of the church quilters and Women of the Church groups.

She was a 1951 graduate of Slatington High School.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter Gail K., wife of Ross Post, of New Tripoli; son Gregory L. and his life partner, James Kendall of Lancaster; sister Sharon A. Weiss of Germansville; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother Terry C. Koenig.

Contributions in her memory may be made to the church memorial fund.
