Mary E. Bauer, 95, of Macungie, died February 16, 2013, in HCR Manor-Care, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Charles D. Bauer Sr., who died December 23, 1978. Born in Kenhorst, Berks County, she was a daughter of the late Franklin A. and Grace (McCarthy) Drey.

She was a member of the Lutheran congregation of St. Peter's Union Church, Macungie, where she formerly served as a Sunday school teacher.

She is survived by children, Joan B. Hildenbrand, of Red Hill, Montgomery Co., Douglas A. Boyer, of Pottstown, Veronica L. Schuler, of Quakertown, Charles D. Jr., of Alburtis, Linwood R., of Alburtis, Lillian E. Hoffman, address unknown; sister, Minnie M. Kline, of Macungie; 29 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 42 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra R. Miller-Grim; three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21 at in St. Peter's Union Church, 7863 St. Peter's Road, Macungie. Friends may call in the church 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday. The Ludwick Funeral Homes Inc., Topton, is in charge of arrangements.
