Donald G. Peter, 86, formerly of Allentown, died February 10, 2013, in Clare Bridge of Dublin, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of the late Phyllis B. (Bachman) Peter. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Russell A. and Mable I. (George) Peter.

He was a 1943 graduate of William Allen High School and a 1949 graduate of Muhlenberg College.

One of his favorite jobs included working with his father and uncle at Peters Motor Company selling Studebaker automobiles. He was a sales representative for Cascade School Supplies for 36 years, retiring in 1991.

He was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, where he served as a former member of consistory.

He was a member of Jordan Martin Lodge #673 F&AM, the Mercantile Club of Emmaus, the Zipper Club, and was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Stationed in Germany, he honorably served his country in the Army during World War II.

He is survived by sons, Thomas B. and his wife Karen, of Travelers Rest, S.C., and Stephen B. and his wife Debra, of Perkasie; granddaughter, Gretchen, of Dallas, Texas.
