Herman A. Ginder, 85, of Macungie, formerly of Allentown, died February 8, 2013, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Inpatient Hospice Unit, Allentown. He was the husband of the late Jane F. (Roessler) Ginder. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Arthur and Esther (Bowman) Ginder.

He was a carpenter all of his life and worked for Butz Construction Co. for many years where he was a foreman. He was a member of the Carpenter Union #600.

He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corp. during World War II. He then went on to the Naval Academy from 1947 to 1950.

He is survived by daughter-in-law, Debra K. (Trumbauer), of New Smithville; brother, Mark, of Ijamsville, Md.; grandchildren, Jason A., of Avon, N.C., Stephanie A., of Fredericksburg, Va. and Kyle J., of New Smithville; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, John A. and a brother William.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at Keller Funeral Homes Inc., 1018 Church St., Fogelsville. Visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m.
