Harassment
reported
State police reported on Jan. 20 at 6:01 p.m. a man used offensive language and punched another person in the face at the Carmike Cinemas, Hanover Township, Lehigh County.
Charges of harassment and disorderly conduct will be filed against the man, police said.
Retail theft
reported
On Jan. 2 at 5:23 p.m. state police were called to Sam's Club, 901 Airport Center Drive, Hanover Township, Lehigh County, to investigate a retail theft.
Police said a white man and a white woman entered the store and placed one Dell desktop computer, one HP desktop computer, one Dyson Ball vacuum cleaner and one BOSE surround sound entertainment system in their shopping cart and exited the store.
Both bypassed the checkout counter and provided a receipt to the door checkout upon leaving the store, said police.
State police said the two people left the store and loaded the merchandise in a silver Dodge Caravan.
Police are investigating.
Woman stopped for public drunkenness
State police reported Jan. 11 at 2:16 p.m. Marcy Lynn Schwar, of Allentown, was walking on 514 Cedar Hill Drive, Hanover Township, Lehigh County, allegedly while under the influence of alcohol.
Schwar had two active warrants out for her arrest, according to police.
Schwar was transported to Lehigh County Central Booking where she was charged and issued a nontraffic citation.
Warrant served
On Jan. 14 state police arrived at 1 p.m. at the Knight's Inn, 1880 Steelstone Road, Hanover Township, to serve a warrant on Matthew Michael Lerch, of 25 N. Third St., Emmaus.
Police said Lerch secured himself inside a hotel room and refused to exit.
The Pennsylvania State Police Special Emergency Response Team arrived on the scene to assist.
Lerch surrendered at 6:30 p.m., state police said.
Lerch was subsequently transported to Lehigh County Central Booking, police said.
