Driver arrested

for DUI

State Police Troop M Fogelsville say David Allen Humphries, 56, of Weisenberg Township, was arrested 12:28 a.m. Jan. 29 in the parking lot of 7850 Lime St., Upper Macungie Township for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol.

Police allege during the investigation into a prior domestic disturbance, at which time he allegedly shoved his wife twice during an argument 8:25 p.m. Jan. 28 at a Danner Road address, Weisenberg Township, he displayed multiple signs of impairment.

Charges will be filed against Humphries before District Judge Michael Faulkner, Upper Macungie Township, upon the receipt of blood test results.

A summary charge of harassment was filed against Humphries for the alleged domestic disturbance with his wife.

Vehicle hits

concrete barrier

Gustavo A. Molina, 20, of Allentown, was driving a 2002 Dodge Stratus in the left lane of I-78 East, Upper Macungie Township, at 4:42 a.m. Jan. 29, when he apparently lost control of the car, which struck a concrete barrier, State Police Troop M Fogelsville say.

The car traveled onto the north shoulder, struck the barrier with its driver's side front, then traveled across two lanes of travel on I-78 E where it came to its final rest on the south shoulder.

Molina, who was wearing his seat belt, was uninjured, police say. He was charged with a traffic violation.

The car sustained disabling damage.
