St. Joseph the Worker's Knights of Columbus Council No. 10921 recently had its Free Throw Championship for girls and boys ages 10 to 14 at St. Joseph the Worker School.

Bishop John Barres attended the Jan. 4 competition. Later in the day, the second part of the competition took place for those who attend other local schools.

Ten winners, one boy and one girl in each age group, were awarded basketballs and certificates.

The 2013 winners for the boys are: Kristopher Mazur,14, Tommy Munshower, 13, Luke Rompilla, 12, John Angelella, 11, and Mason Maxsim, 10.

Winners for the girls are: Jocelyn Lengen, 14, Megan Shaw, 13, Emily Deschler, 12, Samantha Heitzelman, 11 and Erica Lincoln, 10.

They have the opportunity to represent the St. Joseph the Worker Knights of Columbus Council at the upcoming district free throw event at the St. Joseph the Worker gymnasium.
