Amateur singers are invited to take part in a karaoke contest to benefit the family of 4-year-old cancer patient Ella Luchansky.

The contest will take place at the Log Cabin, 31 N. Second St., Coplay, starting 8 p.m. Feb. 15 and will continue once a week through April 5.

Ten singers will advance to the finals April 12. The first-place winner will recieve a $1,000 cash prize and the second-place winner will receive $500.

In addition to the karaoke, the Log Cabin will feature raffles and giveaways. All donations and raffle proceeds benefit Ella and her family.

Ella was diagnosed with Stage 4 high risk neuroblastoma cancer March 10, 2011, at the age of 2. Now 4 years old, she has been through countless procedures.

The contest is cohosted by Crazy K's Karaoke and DJ Services.
