Landing the laughs: "Boeing, Boeing" lands the laughs at The Pennsylvania Playhouse, Bethlehem. But you'd better make your reservations now because the show ends its run this weekend. Opera at the Opera House: Vagabond Opera, above, part of the Neo-cabaret phenomenon bringing the eclectic artistic spirit of Portland, Ore., to the world, continues its 14-day East Coast tour with a stop, 8 p.m. Feb 8, Mauch Chunk Opera House, 14 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe. Four singers (two operatically-trained) and musicians on two cellos, saxophone, clarinet, accordion, double bass and drums perform tango, Balkan beats, Klezmer, rock, Arabian music, Parisian hot jazz, and opera with original tunes and covers by Jacques Brel, Tom Waits and Edith Piaf. Wrote a reviewer for The Seattle Times: "This sextet has fine voices, unbelievable musical chops and a huge and humorous stage presence. They know how to dress, how to make an entrance and how to craft an instantly hummable tune." Vagabond Opera's CDs include "Sing For Your Lives" (2011).
