Retail theft

reported at Weis

In a report received Jan. 17, state police said Karen Lynn Rimsky, 27, of Jim Thorpe, allegedly stole lobster tails from Weis market, Schnecksville, on Aug. 6, 2010.

After a bench warrant was returned served, Rimsky pleaded guilty Nov. 14, 2012 to retail theft before District Judge Jake Hammond, South Whitehall.

Police say she was required to pay fines and costs.

Jewelry, coins stolen from home

In a report received Jan. 17, state police say sometime between Oct. 10 and Dec. 18, 2012 approximately $5,000-$7,000 worth of jewelry and coins were stolen from a home along Clearview Road, North Whitehall Township.

Police say there were no signs of forced entry.

Rock thrown at Weis vehicle

State Police Troop M Bethehem are investigating a report of a criminal mischief that occurred between 3 p.m. Jan. 14 and noon the next day at Weis Market, 5020 Route 873, Schnecksville.

Police say a rock was thrown through the driver's side window of a vehicle owned by Weis.

The vehicle was parked in the rear parking lot of the business. The window is valued at $300, police say.

Fuel stolen from

vehicles at LCTI

Lehigh Career Technical Institute, 4500 Education Park Drive, reported a theft of fuel to State Police Troop M Bethlehem that occurred between 4 p.m. Jan. 12 and 7 a.m. the next day.

Police say approximately 300 gallons of diesel fuel, valued at $1,200 was stolen from three vehicles on the campus lot.

The individuals then left by driving through a field with some type of dual-wheeled truck.

Senior scammed

in Coplay

A 73-year-old woman from the 2600 block of Old Post Road, Coplay, told State Police Troop M Bethlehem she was asked by a person, possibly living in Jamaica, to send prepaid cash cards to him between 4 p.m. Dec. 3 and the next day.

The woman was scammed out of $400 after she was told she won $500,000 and additional money was needed to release the documents and tax filings.

The woman told police the person asked for an additional $200 a few days later.

Credit cards used

without permission

A 42-year-old man from 21OO block Helgoland Drive, Fogelsville, told State Police Troop M Fogelsville Jan. 11 three of his credit cards were used without his permission.

Police say the credit cards were maxed out with a total value of $6,000.

Aggravated assault

at KidsPeace

State Police Troop M Bethlehem reported five juveniles destroyed a classroom at 1 p.m. Jan. 4 at the Donley Tech Education Center, KidsPeace, and then assaulted Mark Eric Eggleston, Mark James Wagner and Jennifer Lori Wertman, all of Bethlehem.

Charges were filed with juvenile probation, police say.
