James A. Hare III, 69, of Breinigs-ville, died Jan. 14, 2013, in the Hospice Unit of Lehigh Valley Hospital.
He and his wife Charlotte (Feijo) Hare celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary in July 2012.
Born in Fall River, Mass., he was a son of the late James A. Jr. and Thelma C. (Brayton) Hare.
For the past 10 years, he worked for Cyoptics Inc.
Previously, he worked for 29 years at AT&T-Bell Labs.
He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Orefield.
He was a baseball coach for the Breinigsville B-Vets.
An avid cycling fan, he also volunteered with the Lehigh Wheelman for a number of years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, James A. IV and his wife, Michelle, of Allentown, John C. and his wife, Jamie, of Macungie; daughter Jennifer H. Jue and her husband, Peter, of Washington, D.C.; sister Nancy L. Silvia of Venice, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
