State Sen. Lisa Boscola, D-18th, has been re-appointed as Democratic chairman of the Senate Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure Committee. She has served in this position since she was first elected to the Senate in 1998.
The committee reviews legislation involving utility issues and the state boards that license and regulate numerous professions in Pennsylvania.
She was re-elected by her Democratic colleagues to chair the Senate Democratic Policy Committee. The committee has held numerous hearings in Bethlehem and throughout the state on issues ranging from job creation to educational reform.
