Ruth T. Baker

Ruth T. Baker, 94, formerly of Emmaus, died January 16, 2013, in Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of the late Thomas E. Baker. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Edna (Miller) Trump.

She worked as a telephone operator for the former Bell Telephone for many years.

She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus.

She was a member of the Mercantile Club, the Bell Telephone Pioneers and the Emmaus New Comers Club.

She was an avid golfer and bowler. She loved to travel, having traveled to China in her 80's.

She was a volunteer at Lehigh Valley Hospital for many years. She was very passionate about dogs and children.

She is survived by her son, Thomas B. and his wife Ingrid, of Emmaus; daughter, Barbara and her husband Dennis Hoffman, of Tucson, Ariz.; sister, Bettie and her husband Donald McLean, of Macungie; granddaughters and spouses, Suzanne and her husband Brian, Cheryl and her husband Bill, Kathy and her husband Eric, Heather and her husband Jason and Sara and her husband Ian; nine great-grandchildren.
