Fred L. Rupert, 102, of Allentown, died December 31, 2012, at Westminster Village. He was the husband of the late Mary (Baker) Rupert, who died Oct. 27, 1998. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Guy J. and Maude (Hantzman) Rupert.

He was a payroll administrator at PP&L for 42 years, retiring in October 1970.

In the past he was active in PP&L bowling and softball leagues.

He was a charter member of Nativity Lutheran Church and a member of its softball team. He was a member and past usher at Bethany United Methodist Church, Wescosville, and a Methodist Church member in Melbourne, Fla. where he spent half a year in his Airstream trailer.

He is survived by a daughter, Blanda M. Reinhard, of Hamilton, Ohio; sons, Guy C. and his wife Delores, of Macungie, Gary J. and his wife Amy, of Allentown; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson Boyd J. Reinhard and stepson Robert Rothenberger.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church building fund, 1208 Brookside Road, Wescosville.
