David T. "Dave" Hoffman, 40, of Emmaus, formerly of Reading, died December 24, 2012. He was the husband of Kathy (Reichwein) Hoffman. Born in Reading, he was a son of Marc and Joan (Hoffman) Douglass of Sumter, S.C.

He attended Schuylkill Valley High School. He was employed with Eastern Industries for 12 years as a quality control technician.

He enjoyed hiking, the outdoors and swimming.

He is survived by his wife, of Allentown; son, Todd K., of West Lawn; daughter, Arlie K., of Allentown; maternal grandmother, Anna-May S., of Sumter, S.C. and paternal grandmother, Dorothy Douglass of West Lawn. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Kenneth C. and paternal grandfather, Harry C. Douglass.
