Zephs fall to Parkland, girls get split with Saucon Vy.

Powerful Parkland came to town and swept Whitehall in swimming. The girls won 113-57 while the boys won 127-41.

Two pool records were set by the Trojans in the win. Erin Jordan had a time of 5:09.26 in the 500 free for the girls while Chris Strauss set the boys mark also in the 500 free with a time of 4:45.79.

Jess Marselles was the lone Whitehall winner, taking the 100 breast in 1:15.30. The Zephs 200 medley relay team of Mina Feyrer, Marselles, Alexus Merkert and Brooke Gilson took first with a time of 1:55.59.

Parkland's Megan Polaha (200 IM, 100 fly) and Siena Salvaggio (200 free, 100 free) were both double winners.

For the boys, Parkland's Omer Hirschberg (200 free, 100 breast), Aviad Mana (200 IM, 100 fly) and Strauss (50 free, 500 free) each won two events.

Things got better for Whitehall on Saturday against Saucon when the girls came up with a 114-56 victory, winning all but one event.

Mina Feyrer and Brooke Gilson each won two individual events. Feyrer took the 200 free in 2:06.67 and the 500 free in 5:36.03 while Gilson won the 50 free in 27.21 and the 100 back in 1:07.99.

Alexus Merkert, Jess Marselles and Mairead Doyle also won events. Merkert won the 200 IM in 2:19.82, Doyle the 100 fly in 1:09.23 and Marselles the 100 breast in 1:16.29.

All three relay teams also won: the 200 medley in 2:06.31 (Gilson, Marselles, Doyle and Sarah Wagner), the 200 free in 1:48.89 (Gilson, Merkert, Vicky Ceasar, Feyrer) and the 400 free in 4:07.73 (Feyrer, Doyle, Lizzy Bellar and Merkert).

The boys lost to Saucon 91-73.

Jonathan Boyd was a double-winner in the loss with wins in the 100 breast in 1:13.74 and the 100 fly in 1:03.03. Also winning were Michael Haggerty in the 200 IM (2:47.98), Jason Dziedzic in the 50 free (24.55) and Rudy Romanyshyn in the 500 free (6:14.06).

The 200 free relay team of Boyd, Dziedzic, Anthony Fragnito and Romanyshyn won their event.
